What is this blog about?

"Just remember, the same as a spectacular Vogue magazine, remember that no matter how close you follow the jumps: Continued on page whatever. No matter how careful you are, there's going to be the sense you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn't experience it all. There's that fallen heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should've been paying attention. Well, get used to that feeling. That's how your whole life will feel some day. This is all practice. None of this matters. We're just warming up.”

For all those times in life that you feel something should have been said, I said it.

Memories

Have you ever just sat there and reminisced about things that occurred in the past? Whether they were good things, bad thing, or things you learned from. Lately, that is all that consumes me on daily basis. Random memories flowing through the many synapses of my mind.

In recent weeks I catch myself in a blank stare, reminiscing about high school and what if things would have worked out a certain way. I wonder about the friendships I made and lost, what would have become of them if things did not work out the way they did. I almost wonder if I could temporarily go back and see the outcome if things would have been different.

Better yet, if the future version of myself could visit the past me and warn myself not to be immature and think things through. Save myself from the little mistakes which still hold a wound within my heart. In retrospect those mistakes and memories saved me. They remind me of who I am and who I've become.

Not only is high school leaving a painted picture in my thoughts, but so is my childhood. It hits me more and more everyday that I'm leaving for school in the Fall. Even though my family does not say it, I know they struggle with this idea everyday. I guess that's why they annoy me everyday, to remind me of what I have at home. Also, seeing my brother and sister grow up and my friend's siblings grow up is also a reminder of how fast life goes by.

There are so many things I wish I could go back and do. Whether it be saying sorry to someone I hurt, making an effort to fix a tampered friendship, or just savor the moments that make life worth living.

What I have come to realize in the past couple of days is that your friends and family are your support system. When all else fails, they are there. Life is about making memories and embracing the ones that made you who you are today.

Life is too short to be spent unhappy, unsatisfied, and unappreciative.

So my advice for you today is: Make a memory.

Mad Awk Moments

Mad Awk Moments....

We have all encountered that handful of people we need to be fake with. Whether its that friend that back stabbed you seeing your ex from high school.

It all starts the same way, the fake hello and grin. Knowing your going to roll your eyes or text your best friend as soon as you walk away from the "mad awk" moment.

To me I find it the worst when I see that person in a public place, thats when the acting begins. You see that person from the corner of your eye and you make sure to either look down at your phone or maintain your focus on whatever is in front of you.
I find it best to avoid this by pretending I am on the phone or sending a text. Usually I do text someone saying "Guess who I just saw...."MAD AWK"!

The best is when you see someone you haven't seen in years. You sit there asking yourself "should i say hi or keep on walking?" Then you just feel dumb after.

But top Mad Awk moment has to be when you wave at someone thinking it was someone else. This definitely happens to me all the time. Luckily I play it off but I literally LOL because I cannot believe I just did that.

Another Mad Awk moment is when your teacher calls you out in class for texting. You have no idea what to do with your phone and then everyone in class stares at you with that "sucks" face

What about the creeper who tries to spit game when your walking in school, you begin to walk fast and shake your head...thats MAD AWK.

So whenever you encounter a "That was Awk" moment remember it happens to everyone and just laugh it off because what's the point of life if you can't laugh it off with a mad awk moment here and there :)

Following Your Dreams

Since we were little we have always heard the infamous quote "follow your dreams".

For girls we all want that Cinderella moment in our lives that sweep us off our feet. But reality tells us that in today's society we need to put all our effort and focus on the future and worry about our careers and what will lead us to our goal in life.

I have always been the type of person who dreams for the perfect life, but what is "perfect" to one person may be completely different for someone else. I used to put such high importance on the little things in life which I now look back on and really did nothing to benefit my life today.

Now is the point of my life where I need to be selfish. I need to follow my dreams and make them a reality. No one ever said it was going to be easy, but with hard work and dedication i know I will get there. The funny thing is I never believed my parents when I was younger about all the advice they gave me, and sad to say everything they said was true. School at this point in my life comes first. If I want to be the next Guliana Rancic I need to put myself out there and dedicate 100% to getting there. The thing I love about life is that there are always second chances. Situations come up which you learn from and then you apply them further on in your life. Thats why I never regret, because you learn from everything. Your life is a drawing board, and you write your own story. Never let anyone have you second guess your dreams. Individuality is key in this life. Be different. Chase your dreams. Write your story.

Happy 100th Anniversary Women!

Well Happy 100th Anniversary to all my ladies out there ! :) Let's take a moment of silence to appreciate all my sexy mommas out there.

(pause)

I've got to say even though Daniel Tosh insists on making fun of the females, he knows that he worships our lady parts. Despite his crude humor towards women like asking us to make sandwiches (which I find hilarious even though I'm a girl) we all know that without women this world would be helpless. I know guys reading this, whom now worship Charlie Sheen as the second coming of Christ, must think women are only good to fuel their #tigerblood but they don't know the immense impact we have in our society.

Sure we have crazy bitches like Lindsey Lohan representing our sexuality wrong but hey haven't we all had that one day where we wanted to go crazy.

Yes we PMS.
Yes we are indecisive.
Yes we want what we can't have.
Yes were overachievers.
Yes we bitch about our bodies.
Yes we want you to tell us we look skinny in those pants.
Yes we think that actor is hot even though we don't admit it to you.
Yes we gossip in large numbers.
Yes something is wrong when we say we're "fine"

Women are the greatest species to have ever walked this planet. We have the ability to be smart, sexy, and sensitive. Women are moving up and establishing themselves in our society.

So "All my women who independent throw your hands up at me"
Cause baby we were "Born this way"
Because its "Us Against the World"
and even though "good girls good bad" sometimes
"When Love Takes Over" there is no stopping an "All American Girl" from getting to her goal.

Yeah we are a "Sexy Bitch"
So "Never give up on the Good Times"
and those who ever doubted us turn around and tell them
"Look at me now!"

Making Working Out Fun, Sticking to my New Year's Resolution

For this entry I got my inspiration from one of my best friend's Patti. We were talking today at the gym about how happy we are that we finally have stuck to our New Year's resolutions. A huge goal of mine was to be healthy and be ready for bikini season. With the inner inspiration I found within myself I have never felt better in my life. I have more energy, I sleep like a baby, and my clothes are fitting better. Here are some helpful tips that can keep you on point when starting a new diet and exercise program:

1. Make sure that wherever your planning on working out it is a convenient location for you. Whether it be school or a local gym, let it be easy enough to get to so you don't make any excuses.

2. Plan ahead with friends. Seeing my friends at the gym not only motivate me to stay on task and also gives us time to gossip and catch up on each others days.

3. Gym clothes will become your new guilty spurge. My best friend Ali owns I don't know how many adorable outfits which fit comfortable and cute. They will keep you feeling pretty when you're on the move. I also think they are the most convenient if you don't want to spend countless minutes looking for what to wear to class in the morning. There are great deals at stores like Forever 21 and Lady Foot Locker.

4. Upload Overload. My Ipod is my best friend for life when I am running or on the elliptical. It's also the perfect excuse to zone out the creepers who may be trying to find any excuse to talk to you.

5. Stay hydrated! It is so important to have a water bottle with you at all times. You want to drink enough to stay hydrate before, during, and after your routine.

6. Pack a towel and moistened disinfectant towels. We don't want Mr. Fat man's sweaty back hair all over your hands and body.

7. Gloves. The best investment I made when I started the gym, it protects my hands from the wear and tear of the equipment and also keeps my hands soft and germ free.

8. Implement healthy eating habits. I started the Carb Lover's Diet program and it goes great with my eating habits. You need to find something that is flexible enough for you and works well with your needs.

9. Keep a food diary. Ever since I started writing down everything I ate it makes it easier for me to keep track of my progress and see how great I'm doing. A good website that can help which my aunt recommended was www.sparkpeople.com

10. Stay positive. Look at yourself every day in the mirror and don't forget to reassure yourself of your goals and work towards becoming a new and improved better you :)

New Years Resolution

2011. A new beginning for a second chance to get it right. This year is bound to bring many things in my life. I'm sure that with determination and persistence my aspirations will become a reality. I wish all of you the best of things to come and to never forget to live life one day at a time. As I spent the day with my family at South Beach I realized how many awesome places there are to go for either a chill night on a date, or a friends night out. Here are some of my new favorite that I am definitely going to be checking out this year.

1. The Front Porch Cafe
This hot spot's hotel look is modern and is the perfect definition of the Miami night life.

2. Ola at the Sanctuary Hotel
Tapas Style Dining is perfect if you just want some pre-club appetizers.

3. Yuca
A tropical taste of Miami's Cuban Flavor. Definitely has the best Mojitos in town!

4. DeVito South Beach
Great Steakhouse in the heart of South Beach owned by Danny Devito and known for its Las Vegas luxury inspiration.
