For this entry I got my inspiration from one of my best friend's Patti. We were talking today at the gym about how happy we are that we finally have stuck to our New Year's resolutions. A huge goal of mine was to be healthy and be ready for bikini season. With the inner inspiration I found within myself I have never felt better in my life. I have more energy, I sleep like a baby, and my clothes are fitting better. Here are some helpful tips that can keep you on point when starting a new diet and exercise program:
1. Make sure that wherever your planning on working out it is a convenient location for you. Whether it be school or a local gym, let it be easy enough to get to so you don't make any excuses.
2. Plan ahead with friends. Seeing my friends at the gym not only motivate me to stay on task and also gives us time to gossip and catch up on each others days.
3. Gym clothes will become your new guilty spurge. My best friend Ali owns I don't know how many adorable outfits which fit comfortable and cute. They will keep you feeling pretty when you're on the move. I also think they are the most convenient if you don't want to spend countless minutes looking for what to wear to class in the morning. There are great deals at stores like Forever 21 and Lady Foot Locker.
4. Upload Overload. My Ipod is my best friend for life when I am running or on the elliptical. It's also the perfect excuse to zone out the creepers who may be trying to find any excuse to talk to you.
5. Stay hydrated! It is so important to have a water bottle with you at all times. You want to drink enough to stay hydrate before, during, and after your routine.
6. Pack a towel and moistened disinfectant towels. We don't want Mr. Fat man's sweaty back hair all over your hands and body.
7. Gloves. The best investment I made when I started the gym, it protects my hands from the wear and tear of the equipment and also keeps my hands soft and germ free.
8. Implement healthy eating habits. I started the Carb Lover's Diet program and it goes great with my eating habits. You need to find something that is flexible enough for you and works well with your needs.
9. Keep a food diary. Ever since I started writing down everything I ate it makes it easier for me to keep track of my progress and see how great I'm doing. A good website that can help which my aunt recommended was www.sparkpeople.com
10. Stay positive. Look at yourself every day in the mirror and don't forget to reassure yourself of your goals and work towards becoming a new and improved better you :)
What is this blog about?
"Just remember, the same as a spectacular Vogue magazine, remember that no matter how close you follow the jumps: Continued on page whatever. No matter how careful you are, there's going to be the sense you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn't experience it all. There's that fallen heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should've been paying attention. Well, get used to that feeling. That's how your whole life will feel some day. This is all practice. None of this matters. We're just warming up.”
For all those times in life that you feel something should have been said, I said it.

New Years Resolution
2011. A new beginning for a second chance to get it right. This year is bound to bring many things in my life. I'm sure that with determination and persistence my aspirations will become a reality. I wish all of you the best of things to come and to never forget to live life one day at a time. As I spent the day with my family at South Beach I realized how many awesome places there are to go for either a chill night on a date, or a friends night out. Here are some of my new favorite that I am definitely going to be checking out this year.
1. The Front Porch Cafe
This hot spot's hotel look is modern and is the perfect definition of the Miami night life.
2. Ola at the Sanctuary Hotel
Tapas Style Dining is perfect if you just want some pre-club appetizers.
3. Yuca

4. DeVito South Beach
